About the Role
We're seeking a skilled Transcriptionist with strong US English expertise and subtitling specialization for an immediate 2-week contract.
Responsibilities
- Transcribe audio/video content with precision using US English standards
- Create time-synchronized, formatted subtitles for video content
- Edit and proofread for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and accuracy
- Follow style guides and meet project deadlines
- Add speaker IDs and sound descriptions as needed
Requirements
- 2+ years of transcription and subtitling experience
- Exceptional US English language skills
- Experience with subtitling/transcription software
- Typing speed of 60+ WPM
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
Preferred
- Experience with caption editing tools (Subtitle Edit, Aegisub, Adobe Premiere Pro) is added plus
- Understanding of subtitle timing best practices
Technical Requirements
- Reliable computer with high-speed internet
- Professional headphones
