Job Title: Sales Trainer

Location: [Bangalore / Hybrid]

Reports To: Head of Training

Budget : 6-8 LPA

Sugar.fit is a health-tech platform focused on Type 2 Diabetes management and metabolic health transformation through personalized care and technology-enabled programs. As we continue to expand across Type 2 Diabetes and GLP-1 based interventions, we are looking for a dynamic Sales Trainer to build and elevate our sales capability.

Role Overview

The Sales Trainer will be responsible for designing, delivering, and continuously improving structured training programs for sales teams handling:

• Type 2 Diabetes management programs

• GLP-1–based metabolic and weight management programs

The ideal candidate is a strong sales capability builder with expertise in consultative selling, objection handling, and performance coaching. While prior exposure to diabetes, metabolic health, or GLP-1 therapies is advantageous, deep technical domain knowledge is considered a good-to-have and not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

Training Design & Curriculum Development

• Develop comprehensive onboarding programs for new sales hires.

• Create structured playbooks, SOPs, call scripts, and objection-handling frameworks.

• Design assessments, quizzes, certification modules, and role-play simulations.

• Continuously refine training content based on market feedback and performance trends.

Product & Process Training

• Train sales teams on product offerings across Type 2 Diabetes and GLP programs.

• Simplify healthcare concepts into clear, persuasive, and patient-friendly communication.

• Ensure teams are aligned with compliance and ethical selling standards.

• Collaborate with medical and product teams to stay updated on protocol changes.

Sales Performance Coaching

• Conduct mock calls, shadow live consultations, and deliver structured feedback.

• Identify performance gaps and create targeted improvement plans.

• Coach teams on consultative selling, empathy-driven conversations, and trustbuilding.

• Improve key conversion metrics and consult quality scores.

Audits & Continuous Improvement

• Review call audits and performance dashboards.

• Support underperforming cohorts through focused 1:1 interventions.

• Track training impact through defined KPIs.

• Partner with Sales Managers to enhance overall team productivity.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Medical teams.

• Align training programs with campaign messaging and evolving product offerings.

• Support launch readiness for new programs or vertical expansions.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong foundation in sales training and adult learning methodologies

• Expertise in consultative selling and objection handling

• Ability to coach performance using data and structured feedback

• Excellent communication and facilitation skills

• Process-oriented with a structured, outcome-driven approach

Good to Have

• Exposure to healthcare, wellness, or health-tech industry

• Basic understanding of Type 2 Diabetes, insulin resistance, or GLP-1 therapies

• Experience training healthcare or high-involvement sales teams

Note: Technical or clinical domain knowledge in diabetes or GLP-1 therapies is an added advantage but not a mandatory requirement for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (any discipline; Life Sciences / Healthcare preferred but not mandatory)

• 3–6 years of experience in Sales Training or Sales Enablement

• Prior experience in high-ticket, consultative sales environments preferred

• Reduction in new hire ramp-up time

• Improvement in conversion rates

• Knowledge assessment and certification scores

• Audit quality scores

• Productivity and retention of trained cohorts
