As a member of SAI's Training & Capacity Building (TCB) Department, the Training Coordinator will support the operational delivery and systems management of SAI's global training portfolio. This role plays a central part in ensuring that in-person and online courses are delivered efficiently, professionally, and in alignment with SAI's standards and procedures.
The Training Coordinator will manage course logistics, administer SAI's Learning Management System (LMS), coordinate participant communications, and maintain accurate training records and reporting systems. The role serves as the primary day-to-day point of contact for training participants and works closely with the Training Manager, Learning & Development Manager, trainers, licensed course providers, Communications, and Finance to ensure high-quality training operations.
This is a hybrid position based in Bangalore, India, with a requirement to work in the office a minimum of 23 days per week.
Reporting to the Training Manager, the Training Coordinator will:
Training Operations (Classroom & Online)
- Coordinate logistics for in-person and live online training courses, including venue arrangements, catering, materials preparation, and virtual platform setup.
- Support scheduling of courses and trainer assignments.
- Manage course registrations and participant communications before and after training.
- Serve as the primary contact for participant inquiries and provide timely customer service support.
- Confirm that all course prerequisites and documentation requirements are met.
- Coordinate payments and financial reconciliation with SAI Finance and through the LMS.
- Generate and distribute course completion certificates.
- Manage the TCB training inbox.
- Liaise with SAI-licensed course providers to ensure compliance with TCB procedures and standards.
- Coordinate exam scheduling, proctoring, and communication of results in accordance with TCB procedures.
Systems and Documentation Support
- Support implementation of the TCB Operations Handbook and related procedures from an operational perspective.
- Ensure training activities are conducted in alignment with TCB policies, workflows, and documentation standards.
- Prepare, format, and distribute training materials as needed.
- Support translation coordination and maintain related documentation where applicable.
- Ensure materials are properly archived and version-controlled in SharePoint and/or the LMS.
- Maintain accurate training records, trackers, and documentation systems.
Measurement, Evaluation & Quality Support
- Collect and analyze course data, including participation, completion rates, and participant feedback.
- Maintain evaluation records and prepare summary reports for internal review.
- Conduct regular analysis of survey results and training metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Support internal audits and management reviews of the training program.
- Assist in maintaining trainer evaluation and calibration records.
- Contribute to improvements in TCB operational processes and procedures.
Communications & Marketing Coordination
- Coordinate with the Communications team to support promotion of training courses.
- Assist with newsletters, website updates, and social media related to training.
- Maintain accuracy and consistency of public-facing course descriptions.
- Support follow-up on leads generated through training delivery.
- Manage and regularly update SAI's public training calendar to ensure timely and accurate course listings.
Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- 24 years of experience coordinating training programs, professional development initiatives, or
- certification programs preferred.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple
- priorities.
- Experience administering or supporting a Learning Management System.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong proficiency in English required.
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and online collaboration tools.
- Experience with data tracking and reporting preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Flexibility to support occasional evening or weekend training events as needed.
- Familiarity with SA8000, ISO standards, or social compliance systems is a plus.
