Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Trainer to design, develop, and deliver impactful training programs for promoters and merchandisers in the FMCG sector. The role requires strong expertise in training module creation, on-ground coaching, and enhancing the effectiveness of field staff to drive brand visibility, sales, and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training Design & Delivery:
- Develop training modules, content, and materials tailored for promoters and merchandisers.
- Conduct induction, product, and skill-based training sessions (classroom & on-the-job).
- Capability Building:
- Train promoters and merchandisers on product knowledge, merchandising standards, customer engagement, and sales techniques.
- Monitor field performance and provide continuous coaching and refresher trainings.
- Program Management:
- Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, role plays, and feedback.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align training modules with business goals.
- Maintain training records, MIS reports, and track improvement in productivity & sales conversion.
- Field Support:
- Conduct regular market visits to observe and guide promoters & merchandisers.
- Ensure execution excellence of merchandising standards and brand visibility in stores.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create engaging training content & use interactive methodologies.
- Knowledge of FMCG retail operations, merchandising, and trade marketing practices.
- Good analytical skills to assess training impact and suggest improvements.
- Fluency in English and regional languages
Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate / MBA preferred (Specialization in Sales, Marketing).
- Prior experience in training promoters, merchandisers, or field sales teams is a must.
- 15+ years of proven experience in front line training and capability development.
