Job Description

Training Program

  • Participate in a structured training program involving classroom learning and hands-on practical experience in blood bank operations.
  • Attend workshops and training sessions on blood collection, processing, and testing procedures.

Blood Collection

  • Learn and assist with blood collection techniques, including venipuncture and donor interviewing.
  • Gain knowledge of donor eligibility criteria, blood donation processes, and infection control practices.

Laboratory Testing

  • Assist in laboratory procedures such as blood typing, cross-matching, and disease screening.
  • Learn to operate and maintain laboratory equipment used in blood testing.

Quality Control

  • Support the maintenance of quality and safety standards for blood and blood products.
  • Learn to identify, report, and help address quality control issues and deviations.

Documentation

  • Maintain accurate records related to blood collection, testing, and processing.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with regulatory and organizational standards.

Blood Inventory Management

  • Assist in the storage, labeling, and tracking of blood and blood products.
  • Learn to ensure availability, proper handling, and traceability of inventory.

Compliance and Safety

  • Understand and follow regulatory standards, safety procedures, and quality assurance protocols.
  • Adhere to all blood bank policies and operational guidelines.
