About the Job:
The Trainee Area Sales Manager will be responsible for generating sales through direct customer
interactions. The role involves regular customer visits, understanding customer requirements, presenting
catalogues and products, negotiating commercial terms, and closing sales deals during the initial six
months. Based on satisfactory performance during this period, the individual may be given the opportunity to manage a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct field visits to prospective and existing customers as per assigned territory.
Understand customer requirements and provide suitable product/solution
recommendations.
Present and explain product catalogues, designs, and pricing to customers.
Prepare quotations based on measurements and customer requirements.
Negotiate prices, timelines, and terms with customers to close deals.
Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Coordinate with design, operations, and installation teams for smooth execution post-sale.
Handle customer queries and resolve issues to ensure a positive customer experience.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong field sales and negotiation skills.
Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
Basic understanding of measurements and site assessment.
Ability to explain catalogues, designs, and products clearly.
Customer-centric approach with a focus on closing deals.
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Other Requirements:
Two-wheeler/vehicle with valid driving license.
Basic knowledge of MS Excel / CRM tools is an added advantage.
