Responsibilities
- Complete tasks on time, within budget and quality standards set by the team lead
- Collaborate with project teams to develop solutions aligned with client and regulatory standards
- Ensure design outputs are checked and coordinated with other disciplines
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, specifications, and construction documents
- Work both independently and within a team
- Follow Mott MacDonald's quality standard procedures
- Stay updated with trends and developments in traffic signalling engineering
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's or Postgraduate degree in Electrical / Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Member of a recognized institution
Experience & Skills (Essential):
- 4+ years of post-graduate experience in traffic signals design
- Knowledge of UK Traffic Signals standards and guidance
- Experience in traffic modelling software
- Worked on traffic signal projects as part of a team
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, KeySignals
- Prepared traffic signal studies, reports, and timing plans
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Interpersonal skills for team collaboration
- Experience with 3D design and BIM software
Desirable:
- Experience with traffic signal controller specification/programming (UTC/SCOOT/MOVA)
- Experience working with global teams
Job Profile

- Proficiency in modelling tools like LinSig or regional equivalents
