Candidate Specification
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
- Over 12 years of post-graduate experience in traffic signal design.
- Member of a recognized professional institution and actively working toward chartership.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Hands-on experience in traffic signals engineering.
- Familiarity with UK Traffic Signals standards and guidance.
- Proficiency in traffic modelling software, particularly LinSig.
- Experience working in team environments to deliver traffic signal projects.
- Proficient in engineering software tools such as AutoCAD and KeySignals.
- Ability to prepare traffic signal studies and technical reports.
- Development of traffic signal timing plans and designs in accordance with local standards.
- Experience with traffic signal controller specification and programming, including UTC/SCOOT and MOVA systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with 3D design software and familiarity with BIM and common data environments.
Desirable Skills:
- In-depth experience with traffic signal controller programming and all signal modes.
- Experience working with international teams.
Job Profile:
You will have a solid background in traffic signals engineering, with a track record of contributing to successful project delivery in terms of time, cost, and quality.
