Shift: Fixed Evening/Night Shift (Approx. 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM IST)

Type: Full-time

This role is critical to ensuring stable and uninterrupted trading operations during live market sessions.

Role Overview

The Commodity Trading Systems Support Engineer (MCX) will be responsible for ensuring real-time stability and support of trading systems during commodity market hours.

This role requires high responsiveness, technical reliability, and the ability to handle live-market incidents under pressure.

You will act as the first line of defense for trading-related technical issues.

Key Responsibilities1. Live Market Support (Primary Responsibility)
  • Provide real-time support during MCX trading hours
  • Ensure trading terminals and systems are functioning smoothly
  • Act immediately on any trading disruption or system issue
  • Minimize downtime during live market conditions
2. Incident Handling & Resolution
  • Diagnose and resolve P1 / critical issues quickly
  • Handle trading interruptions, terminal issues, or connectivity problems
  • Escalate issues to internal teams when required
  • Maintain calm and structured response during outages
3. Trading Terminal & System Support
  • Support broker trading platforms and terminals
  • Troubleshoot login issues, order flow issues, and system errors
  • Assist traders/internal teams with technical issues
4. Infrastructure & Network Support
  • Troubleshoot basic networking issues (IP, DNS, LAN/WAN)
  • Monitor connectivity stability
  • Resolve remote access issues
5. Remote Support
  • Provide support using tools such as:
  • RDP
  • AnyDesk
  • Other remote desktop tools
6. Communication & Escalation
  • Communicate clearly with traders and internal teams
  • Provide timely updates during incidents
  • Follow escalation protocols strictly
7. Documentation & Reporting
  • Log incidents accurately in the system
  • Maintain proper issue tracking and resolution notes
  • Contribute to internal knowledge base

Key Requirements1. Shift Readiness & Reliability (Critical)
  • Comfortable working fixed evening/night shifts (4 PM – 12 AM IST)
  • Stable career history preferred (low job switching)
  • Ability to sustain performance during live market hours
  • Strong sense of responsibility and ownership
2. Core Technical Skills
  • Basic networking:
  • IP addressing
  • DNS
  • LAN/WAN troubleshooting
  • OS troubleshooting:
  • Windows (mandatory)
  • Linux (basic understanding preferred)
  • Experience with remote support tools
3. Trading / Financial Systems Awareness
  • Basic understanding of commodity markets (MCX)
  • Awareness of trading hours and market behavior
  • Experience with trading terminals or broker platforms is a strong advantage
4. Incident Handling Ability
  • Ability to respond quickly under pressure
  • Strong problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to prioritize critical issues (P1 incidents)
  • Calmness during system outages or disruptions
5. Communication Skills
  • Clear and structured communication
  • Ability to explain technical issues simply
  • Good documentation habits
  • Strong escalation discipline

QualificationsEducational Background
  • Bachelor's degree in:
  • Computer Science / IT
  • Electronics / Telecommunications
  • Or related technical field

(Diploma holders with strong practical experience may also be considered)

Experience
  • 1–3 years experience in:
  • IT support / technical support
  • Network support
  • Trading system support (preferred)
Preferred (Nice to Have)
  • Experience in:
  • Stock broking / trading firms
  • MCX / commodity trading environment
  • Handling live production systems
  • Basic understanding of:
  • APIs / trading systems
  • Linux environments
