Job Description

Job Summary:

  • Responsible for Senior Trade Sales Coverage for Corporate and Commercial Banking clients across West India.
  • Develop a strategic roadmap to achieve financial targets and enhance client experiences.
  • Collaborate across functions including Corporate Bankers, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Ops, Technology, Finance, Tax, Credit, Product, and Client Service.
  • Lead and manage client initiatives with high-impact interactions and engagements.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage trade sales relationships with key client portfolios, including prospecting and deepening engagements.
  • Develop and execute strategy to achieve revenue growth and new sales targets for Trade Finance products.
  • Coordinate with Corporate Bankers and other LOBs to grow business and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Ensure full compliance with local market regulations and firm-wide requirements.
  • Support rollout of new trade products to drive revenue and market penetration.
  • Provide strategic input into product development, marketing, and business initiatives.
  • Design client solutions that align with J.P. Morgan's trade product capabilities.
  • Communicate client priorities both locally and regionally.
  • Maintain strong client focus; proactively identify challenges and offer tailored solutions.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and escalate within the Risk and Control framework.
  • Partner with Marketing, Product Management, and Global Trade teams for external engagements and brand positioning.
  • Represent J.P. Morgan's global trade services at industry and internal events.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Master's (MBA) from a reputed institute or Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience with trade products and client management.
  • Deep knowledge of Traditional and Structured Trade products (e.g., Supply Chain Finance, ECA financing).
  • Strong written, presentation, analytical, and execution skills.
  • Experience in documentation negotiation and commercial/credit/transaction banking processes.
  • Proven ability to work within matrix structures and cross-border teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, capable of working independently.
  • Demonstrated success in strategic relationship management and leading cross-functional initiatives.
