Job Summary

As a Securities Settlements Manager within APAC Securities Settlements, you lead teams supporting equity and fixed income trade settlement for JPM Asia Legal Entities and JPMorgan Affiliates across Asian markets. You ensure accurate settlement-related information flows to Middle Offices and Client Service teams while driving timely market settlement and adherence to client SLAs. You strengthen controls, lead transformation initiatives, and deliver continuous improvement across KPIs and service performance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support settlement of equity and fixed income trades across Asian markets for JPM entities and affiliates.
  • Provide accurate settlement-related information to Middle Offices and Client Service teams.
  • Ensure timely settlement completion in-market and strict adherence to deadlines and client SLAs.
  • Develop and execute the APAC settlements business plan, including relocation strategy and system implementation.
  • Enhance operating controls to remain effective within a changing global operating model.
  • Oversee global risk functions supporting the APAC settlements team in the Bangalore corporate center.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across KPIs, service performance, and control effectiveness.
  • Coach staff to follow standard operating procedures, controls, and departmental timelines.
  • Manage appraisals, performance feedback, and talent development priorities.
  • Participate in global and local projects, including new business, system enhancements, and market rule changes.
  • Escalate risks, breaches, and operational issues promptly to stakeholders and governance forums.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bring Graduate or Post Graduate education with Banking and Financial Services/Treasury/Settlements experience.
  • Demonstrate strong APAC settlements market knowledge across equity and fixed income products.
  • Lead people teams with at least 6 years of people-management experience.
  • Operate effectively in a risk-based environment with a track record of measurable risk reduction.
  • Influence across business lines, cultures, and global functions to deliver outcomes.
  • Apply strategic and analytical thinking to improve service performance and decision-making.
  • Communicate clearly in writing and verbally to management, clients, and colleagues.
