Job Description

Tourism Head is responsible for all concerned activities related to business enhancement by planning and execution of strategies for upscaling the business as well as quality of experience of the clients, collaborators and Farmstay owners in lines with concept of sustainable Tourism in Himalayan region.

Responsibilities:
1. Revenue generation and making sustainable tourism of HIAL profitable.
2. Market survey, Creating packages, Marketing and Complete operations of HIAL tourism
enterprise wing.
3. Development of strategies and implementing them with Operations related to tourism
expansion apart from Farmstays.
4. Thorough Knowledge of booking platforms AirBnB, MakeMyTrip, etc.
5. Handling booking, taxation/GST related matters, responding to queries, resolving grievances,
handle complaints/ cancellations/refunds,etc
6. Head the tourism Department and get things executed on ground for successful and happy experiences of the visitors.
7. Ensure Coordination with village mothers for booking, services, payment related matters
8. Onboarding of new farmstays, including selection, feasibility check, contract signing, orientation, etc.
9. Expansion of farmstay network to other villages.
10. Farmstay marketing / promotion activities- Branding, content drafting, event management
11. Building and maintaining relations with village mothers, outside travel agents, local travel agents, tour operators, taxi operators, taxi and bike unions, UT govt. ,etc for all tourism
requirements.
12. Design experiences, itineraries, and tour packages specific to each village and farmstays
13. Manage interns, intern training, delegate work and handhold them to work on ground as per task assigned.
14. Prepare budgeting, collating financial spread sheets and submitting to management in
coordination with accounts department.
15. Perform market research, prepare strategies for expansion and profitability.
16. Execution of strategic planning to attract more visitors to villages.
17. Design course curriculum, facilitate classes/courses of the School of Responsible Tourism.

1. Graduate in any stream
2. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

5. Ability to create and manage sales strategies, promotions etc
6. Strong organisational skills
7. Problem solving and decision-making capabilities
8. Ability to work independently and in a team
9. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks at the same time
10. Friendly, flexible, and positive attitude
11. An understanding of and belief in Sustainable and Responsible Tourism
12. Passion for tourism

Preferred Educational Background:
1. Bachelors from Tourism
2. Diploma or certificate in Travel and Tourism

Preferred Work Experience:
Minimum 10 years of work experience in Tourism with quantifiable profit generation
Proven track record that can be measured with reviews of clients
