Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Toolmaker located in Chennai. The Toolmaker will be responsible for creating precision tools and parts, interpreting technical drawings, and maintaining tool accuracy. Daily tasks include operating machine tools, inspecting completed tools for defects, and ensuring tools meet quality standards. The Toolmaker will also troubleshoot and repair tools as necessary.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in using manual and CNC machines, and toolmaking equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Strong knowledge of materials and their properties
• Experience in inspecting finished products for accuracy and quality
• Ability to perform troubleshooting and maintenance of tools
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the automotive industry
• Technical diploma or certification in Toolmaking or a related field
