Job Role: Tooling Equipment Engineer - Engine Assembly / Powertrain
Work Experience: 4 to 7 Years
Location: Chennai
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure processing and industrialization of production facilities within Engine Assembly in alignment with engineering and manufacturing standards.
- Lead tooling and equipment setup for assembly lines including sealant dispensing systems and test facilities.
- Manage installation and commissioning of industrial resources within the assigned perimeter.
- Plan and monitor investments, budgets, timelines, and performance targets related to production facilities.
- Coordinate with Project, Maintenance, Manufacturing, and Product teams for seamless execution.
- Support layout planning, infrastructure setup, and facility enhancements for capacity expansion.
- Ensure quality compliance, performance optimization, and cost control of assigned equipment.
- Participate in supplier selection, technical discussions, and installation validation.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Hands-on experience in Engine Assembly / Powertrain manufacturing setup
- Exposure to Sealant Dispensing systems and industrial tooling equipment
- Knowledge of tooling design, installation, and commissioning
- Experience with production facilities, test systems, and plant layout
- Project management and cost management exposure
- Familiarity with infrastructure and facility setup within automotive plants
- Proficiency in CATIA, AutoCAD, and MS Office
- Experience working within project/program and capacity enhancement frameworks
