Key Responsibilities
Quality Systems & Compliance
- Develop and maintain Tool Room Quality Management Systems (QMS) aligned with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and ISO 14001 standards.
- Ensure compliance across design, machining, assembly, trial, and validation stages.
- Conduct internal, supplier, and customer audits.
Technical Quality Oversight
- Review mold drawings, GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, and material specifications.
- Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspections of molds and components.
- Manage FAI, PPAP, APQP, MSA, and SPC activities.
- Monitor tool trials, mold validation, and buy-off approvals.
Metrology & Equipment Control
- Ensure calibration and maintenance of CMM, VMM, profile projectors, height gauges, micrometers, verniers, etc.
- Hands-on involvement in CMM programming and report interpretation.
Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
- Lead root cause analysis and CAPA using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone methods.
- Drive initiatives to reduce rejection, rework, and cycle time.
- Coordinate cross-functionally to resolve quality issues.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and train the quality inspection team.
- Establish performance standards and ensure adherence to SOPs and control plans.
