Job Description Tool Design Engineer
- Assist in designing and drafting tools, jigs, fixtures, and other manufacturing equipment. This includes creating technical drawings, 3D models, and design specifications using CAD software e.g., AutoCAD.
- Support in the creation and testing of prototypes for new tool designs, ensuring they meet functional, safety, and durability standards.
- Perform basic calculations related to material strength, stress analysis, and other engineering principles to validate tool designs.
- Work with senior engineers and production teams to understand tool requirements, production processes, and optimization needs.
- Maintain accurate records of design work, modifications, and technical specifications.
- Identify design issues and help in troubleshooting problems related to tool functionality, efficiency, and quality.
- Contribute to ongoing design improvements, cost-reduction initiatives, and process optimization in tool manufacturing.
Job Specification
- Diploma/ Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tool Design, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of CAD software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
