Role Overview
The person taking up this role will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and reliable operation of all electrical and instrumentation systems within the plant during the shift . The role includes attending to breakdowns, executing preventive maintenance, ensuring equipment health, and driving continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining the highest safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Lead and manage all electrical and instrumentation maintenance activities during assigned shifts.
- Attend to electrical and instrumentation breakdowns promptly to minimize production downtime.
- Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement effective corrective actions.
- Execute preventive, predictive, and annual maintenance activities as per the maintenance plan.
- Equipment Handling & System Management
- Transformers
- Drives
- Compressors
- Control panels
- Inspect and ensure proper functioning of control panels, transformers, and other electrical equipment.
- Commission, calibrate, and troubleshoot field instruments and PID control systems.
- Automation & Control Systems
- Work with PLC systems (preferably Siemens and Allen Bradley).
- Possess basic knowledge of SCADA systems, VFDs, and other drive systems.
- Inventory & Utility Management
- Manage spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical components.
- Handle utility equipment efficiently to support continuous plant operations.
- Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to and promote safety protocols such as LOTO, electrical safety practices, EHS standards, and working at height guidelines.
- Foster a strong safety culture within the plant.
- Continuous Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using WCM methodologies.
- Promote and maintain 5S practices across maintenance areas.
