Your Role
As a Thermal/Power Development Engineer, you will contribute to building industryleading power, thermal, and limits management software solutions across Qualcomm's Mobile, Automotive, Compute, IoT, and AR/VR platforms. You will perform systemlevel analysis, collaborate across hardware and software teams, and deliver optimized power and thermal mitigation strategies.
In this role, you will:
- Analyze systemlevel power and thermal use cases and performance requirements.
- Drive power optimization, performance tuning, and thermal/limit HW tuning.
- Assess risks and define mitigation strategies for thermal and power challenges.
- Collaborate with architecture, HW design, performance, and SW teams.
- Develop tools and methodologies for competitive and system analysis.
- Support systemlevel debugging and characterization for SoC power optimization.
Your Profile
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in power/thermal or system SW development.
- Proficiency in C/C++/Python/Java or similar programming languages.
- Strong understanding of SoC architecture and HW blocks (CPU, GPU, interconnects).
- Solid OS fundamentals: scheduling, memory, interrupts, and device drivers.
- Experience with debugging tools (JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).
- Knowledge of power and thermal management software is a strong plus.
- Strong systemlevel analysis, problemsolving, and collaboration skills.
