Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Leadership
- Lead and manage the Science department across classes as assigned (Middle & Senior School).
- Ensure effective implementation of the CBSE curriculum, guidelines, and NEP 2020.
- Design annual academic plans, lesson plans, and assessment strategies.
- Monitor syllabus completion and maintain academic standards.
Teaching & Learning
- Demonstrate best classroom practices and innovative pedagogy.
- Promote inquiry-based learning, experiments, and practical work.
- Integrate ICT tools, smart classes, and lab-based learning.
Faculty Management
- Mentor, guide, and evaluate Science teachers.
- Conduct regular classroom observations and feedback sessions.
- Organize internal training, workshops, and subject meetings.
Assessment & Results
- Plan assessments in line with CBSE competency-based education.
- Analyze exam results and initiate improvement plans.
- Oversee paper setting, moderation, and evaluation processes.
Laboratory & Resources
- Ensure proper functioning, safety, and upgradation of science laboratories.
- Manage lab inventory, equipment, and practical schedules.
Student Development
- Encourage participation in science exhibitions, olympiads, and competitions.
- Identify and support academically challenged and gifted students.
Coordination & Compliance
- Coordinate with school leadership, parents, and CBSE officials when required.
- Maintain academic records, reports, and documentation.
- Support inspections, affiliations, and audits.
Qualifications & Experience
- Postgraduate degree in Science (Physics/Chemistry/Biology).
- B.Ed. mandatory.
- Minimum 8 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school.
- Prior experience as Senior Teacher / Academic Coordinator / HOD preferred.
