About V-Weave
V-Weave is a design-led manufacturer of contemporary home textiles crafted on traditional handlooms. Based in Panipat, our family business has worked with skilled artisans for over seven decades to develop rugs, cushions, and throws using natural materials such as wool and jute.
Our focus lies in translating heritage craftsmanship into modern products for leading international design brands and retailers.
We are building a strong internal design culture and are looking for a Senior Textile Designer who can contribute meaningfully to product development while working closely with artisans, sampling teams, and production.
Role Overview
This role requires a designer who is comfortable balancing creative design thinking with practical product development.
The position involves developing woven textile concepts, guiding sampling and loom development, coordinating with internal teams, and delivering developments within tight timelines for international clients.
The ideal candidate is stable, organized, and capable of working under pressure while maintaining high design standards.

Key Responsibilities
Design & Concept Development
Develop original woven textile concepts for rugs, cushions, and throws
Create designs focused on texture, material combinations, and weave structures
Prepare CADs, colorways, and technical design specifications
Contribute to seasonal design directions aligned with international interiors and home textile trends
Sampling & Product Development
Work closely with sampling teams and weavers to translate designs into physical samples
Guide yarn selection, weave structures, and finishing techniques
Review and refine samples to achieve the intended texture, hand feel, and color balance
Ensure designs are feasible for handloom production
Team Leadership & Coordination
Guide and support junior designers and sampling teams
Coordinate multiple developments simultaneously and ensure timelines are met
Maintain strong communication between design, sampling, and production teams
Client Development
Interpret buyer briefs and reference material and translate them into workable textile designs
Support preparation of design presentations and development proposals for international clients
Adapt designs based on feedback while maintaining production practicality
Research & Innovation
Conduct research on materials, weaving techniques, and global home textile trends
Explore new yarn blends, textures, and constructions suitable for handloom production
Contribute to the development of new collections and product categories
Candidate Profile
Minimum 5 years of experience in textile design, preferably in home textiles
Strong understanding of woven textile structures, yarns, and materials
Experience working with sampling teams and product development environments
Ability to manage multiple developments simultaneously and perform under pressure
Strong leadership and team coordination skills
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
Strong sense of color, texture, and material combinations
Practical, solution-oriented mindset with attention to detail
Preferred Background
Degree in Textile Design (NIFT, NID, or equivalent)
Experience in handloom or craft-based textile development
Exposure to international home textile markets is an advantage
