Textile Designer – Soft Home Furnishings
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Textile Designer to join our home furnishing export team in Gurgaon. The role involves designing and developing soft furnishing products for international markets, including decorative cushions, bedspreads, curtains, throws, table linen, and related categories.
The ideal candidate should have a strong sense of colour, design trends, fabric aesthetics, and product styling, along with the ability to convert buyer requirements into commercially viable products and samples.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop soft home furnishing products for export markets.
Create CADs and design presentations using Adobe Photoshop and other design
software.
Research and forecast international colour, trend, and design directions.
Understand buyer briefs and develop samples/product concepts accordingly.
Coordinate with tailors, artisans, and sampling teams for timely product development.
Ensure samples and developments are completed within deadlines and quality
standards.
Work closely with merchandising and production teams during development stages.
Candidate Profile
Creative thinker with a strong eye for detail, colour combinations, and styling.
Good understanding of fabrics, prints, textures, embroideries, and home décor
trends.
Organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a team environment.
Good communication skills in written and spoken English.
Basic knowledge of MS Office applications like Excel, Word, and Outlook is
preferred.
Qualification
Textile Design Graduate/Diploma holder from recognized fashion institutes.
Candidates from National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) or similar institutes will be preferred.
