Role Description
Textile Design & Development
- Create original textile concepts, prints, patterns, embroideries, and surface developments aligned with the brand's luxury menswear aesthetic.
- Translate design concepts into production-ready artwork and technical files.
Trend & Market Research
- Research textile trends, fabric innovations, colour forecasts, and global menswear movements.
- Study competitor brands, consumer preferences, and seasonal directions to inform textile development.
- Stay updated on sustainable textiles, dyeing techniques, and fabric technologies..
Material & Fabric Innovation
- Source and select suitable fabrics, yarns, trims, and embellishments based on design direction and functionality.
- Ensure textiles meet quality, durability, and luxury standards.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with fashion designers, sampling teams, and production units to integrate textiles into garment collections.
- Communicate clearly with vendors and manufacturers for accurate sampling and execution.
- Participate in fittings and product reviews to ensure textile application aligns with design intent.
Technical Development
- Prepare detailed textile specifications, repeat measurements, colour standards, and production guidelines.
- Oversee sampling, strike-offs, and approvals before bulk production.
- Maintain textile archives, swatches, and documentation.
Skill Requirements
- Strong knowledge of textiles, fabric construction, prints, and surface design techniques
- Ability to create digital textile artwork and repeats
- Understanding of colour theory, dyeing processes, and embellishment techniques
- Knowledge of menswear fabric applications and luxury finishing
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
Qualifications
- Degree in Textile Design / Fashion Design or related field
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator is a must
- Knowledge of textile CAD software is an advantage
- Passion for research, mood boards, and fabric innovation
- Freshers preferred
Compensation & Work Structure
Remuneration: 2,99,000 per annum
Holidays: 12 days per year
Work Timings: 10:30 AM 7:00 PM
Work Days: Monday to Saturday (Saturday Work From Home)
