Job Summary
To design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for functional, regression, and integration testing, leveraging modern automation tools, frameworks, and practices to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop reusable, modular automation test scripts using Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Collaborate with QA leads and manual testers to identify automation candidates and testing priorities.
- Integrate automated testing with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) for scalable and repeatable test execution.
- Maintain and enhance automation frameworks; optimize scripts for performance and reliability.
- Execute and monitor automated regression suites, analyze test failures, and track resolutions.
- Support both UI and API automation as per project requirements.
- Own end-to-end regression suite design, execution, and sign-off for production releases.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate across QA, DevOps, and development teams.
- Contribute to test coverage improvement using TDD or BDD practices (e.g., Cucumber, TestNG).
- Provide inputs for performance and security testing using tools like JMeter or Gatling.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Applications, or related field.
- 48 years of hands-on experience in test automation.
- Proven expertise in automation strategy, framework design, and implementation.
- Proficiency with automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Experience integrating test automation within CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Experience testing applications deployed on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and working with DevOps toolchains.
- Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, REST-assured) and test management systems (JIRA, Zephyr).
- Knowledge of JUnit, TestNG, or equivalent testing frameworks.
- Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling) and awareness of security testing practices.
- Understanding of telecom domain or BSS testing environments will be an advantage.
- ISTQB Advanced Level, Certified Agile Tester, or equivalent certification preferred.
