Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for testing healthcare software applications and EDI transactions to ensure compliance, accuracy, and reliability. He/She will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify defects, document test cases, and contribute to the overall quality assurance process.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for healthcare software applications and EDI transactions.
- Execute manual testing procedures to validate data accuracy, compliance with industry standards, and system functionality.
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and user stories.
- Identify, report, and track defects, and work closely with the development team to resolve issues.
- Participate in test data setup and management for EDI testing scenarios.
- Generate and maintain test documentation and reports.
- Perform regression testing to ensure that new features do not adversely impact existing functionality.
- Work with Automation team to automate the test cases.
- Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, test results, and issues.
- Stay updated on industry standards and regulations related to US Healthcare and EDI.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Software testing.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology / Master of computer applications (MCA).
- Proven experience as a Manual Tester in the IT industry, with specific expertise in US Healthcare and EDI.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in test case design and execution.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Understanding of US Healthcare industry standards and regulations, including HIPAA.
- Knowledge in EDI transactions, file formats (e.g., X12, HL7), and tools.
- Knowledge of EDI transaction sets, such as 834, 820, 835, 270/271, 999 etc.
- Experience with testing tools and methodologies is a plus.
