Core Technical Skills
Primary Skills
- Expertise in UFT tool
- Proficient in VBScript
- Strong understanding of Object Repository: Both shared and local repositories, and dynamic object handling.
- Framework Design: Experience building and maintaining keyword-driven, data-driven, and hybrid frameworks.
- Database Validation: Writing SQL queries for backend verification.
- Error Handling & Recovery Scenarios: Implementing robust error-handling mechanisms.
- Basic knowledge of Python language and Shell scripting
- Debugging concepts in UFT
Secondary Skills
- Basic knowledge of Java programming (OOP concepts, exception handling, collections).
- Understanding of Selenium WebDriver (locators, browser automation, handling alerts/frames).
- Good problem-solving and debugging skills.
Tools
- Jenkins or CI/CD tools: For continuous integration and test execution.
- Excel & Data Tables: For parameterization and data-driven testing.
- Version Control: Familiarity with Git, SVN, or similar tools.
Soft Skills
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to troubleshoot and optimize test scripts.
- Communication: Collaborating with developers, testers, and business analysts.
