Manual Test Lead

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Lead with a strong background in manual testing and test leadership. The ideal candidate will demonstrate ownership of the testing process, from requirement analysis to defect management, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and effective communication with stakeholders. This role requires a proactive approach to mentoring team members and managing cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate strong test leadership skills and ownership throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Conduct requirement analysis and define test strategies to align with project goals.
- Develop detailed test plans, including estimation and scheduling of testing activities.
- Execute manual testing, manage defects, and provide comprehensive reporting on testing outcomes.
- Ensure end-to-end test coverage using Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM).
- Facilitate peer, lead, and Product Owner (PO) reviews to ensure quality standards are met.
- Obtain sign-off from all stakeholders at various project stages.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration.
- Assign testing tasks based on individual team members skills and capabilities.
- Lead defect triage discussions to prioritize and drive defect resolution effectively.
- Manage and resolve conflicts within the team and across cross-functional teams.
- Mentor and guide the testing team to enhance their skills and performance.
- Implement risk-based testing strategies to prioritize testing efforts and ensure release readiness.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
Mandatory Skills:
- Proven experience as a Test Lead with a strong focus on manual testing.
- In-depth knowledge of QA processes and manual testing fundamentals.
- Experience in developing and executing test plans and strategies.
- Strong defect management and reporting skills.
- Ability to conduct effective peer and stakeholder reviews.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with automation frameworks such as UIAutomator.
- Experience in risk-based testing and release readiness assessments.
- Ability to mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on manual testing.
- Prior experience in a leadership role within a testing team.
