Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Test Manager to lead and manage a blended team of manual and automation testers across diverse projects. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a proven track record in managing QA functions, and solid technical knowledge of automation tools and practices. This role requires strategic thinking, effective team management, and close collaboration with business and technology stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the QA strategy, test plans, and governance model across projects and releases.
- Lead, mentor, and manage both manual and automation test teams, ensuring clear role assignments and accountability.
- Align QA strategy with business goals by collaborating with product managers, developers, business analysts, and senior stakeholders.
- Establish and oversee automation strategies, frameworks, and best practices while ensuring effective integration with manual testing.
- Ensure effective test planning, execution, reporting, and defect lifecycle management across all phases of testing (Unit, SIT, UAT, Regression).
- Manage test estimations, budgets, schedules, and resources to meet project timelines.
- Drive adoption of CI/CD and DevOps practices to optimize automation execution and continuous testing.
- Define and track QA metrics, KPIs, and dashboards to measure quality, efficiency, and delivery performance.
- Build and scale QA capabilities by introducing new tools, processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with organizational, regulatory, and industry standards.
Required Skills & Experience
- 12+ years of overall QA experience, with at least 5+ years in a Test Manager / QA Leadership role.
- Proven experience in managing blended teams (manual and automation).
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, test design techniques, and defect management processes.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools and frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, Tosca, RestAssured, or similar).
- Experience in Web UI, API, and Mobile testing.
- Expertise in test environment management, test data management, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong project management, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to drive decision-making.
