Job Description
We are looking for a Test Lead for Altiplano Automation Applications to lead validation efforts on the Altiplano Controller Application delivery unit. This role combines deep technical expertise, test strategy leadership, and people management, ensuring high-quality delivery of our roadmap. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader who can define innovative testing approaches, drive automation at scale, and build a high-performing team aligned with business and engineering goals.
How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
- Lead testing for Altiplano access controller applications.
- Build, mentor, and lead a team of high-performing test engineers.
- Own end-to-end test strategy for all the deliverables from the delivery unit (fault, performance, configuration, telemetry)
- Own end-to-end quality for releases, ensuring alignment with timelines and business goals.
- Lead defect triage, root cause analysis, and risk assessment.
- Champion test automation-first mindset across the organization.
- Drive development of CI/CD-integrated test pipelines.
- Introduce innovative testing approaches (AI-driven testing, model-based testing, digital twins, synthetic traffic generation). Continuously identify gaps and propose new tools, frameworks, and methodologies.
- Ensure high test coverage, reliability, and repeatability across releases.
- Establish metrics-driven quality engineering practices.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration across development, product, and operations teams with a customer-first mindset.
- Support customer deployments, field trials, and escalations when needed.
Key Skills And Experience
You have:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in testing/QA with 5+ years in leadership roles.
- Strong experience in network management systems, telecom networks, or distributed systems.
- Good understanding of:
- Network protocols (IP, TCP/UDP, routing, switching)
- Cloud-native architectures (microservices, Kubernetes)
- Proven track record of building scalable automation frameworks
- Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
- Strong people leader who inspires and develops teams
- Excellent communication skills
It would be nice if you had:
- Experience with AI-driven testing or intelligent automation
- Telecom domain expertise (PON, access networks, SDN/NFV)
- Familiarity with observability tools, telemetry pipelines, and data analytics.
- Exposure to agentic systems or intent-based networking.
