Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver with Java.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced QA Engineer with 7–12 years of hands-on expertise in software quality assurance. The ideal candidate will drive automation strategy, build robust test frameworks, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software products across cloud-enabled platforms. This role demands deep proficiency in Selenium with Java, Playwright with TypeScript, and AWS, and is critical to the success of our engineering and product teams.

Responsibilities

Test Automation & Framework Development

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Selenium with Java and Playwright with TypeScript.
• Build and enhance end-to-end, regression, integration, and API test suites for web and cloud-based applications.
• Implement Page Object Model (POM) and other design patterns for maintainable test code.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar).

Cloud & AWS Testing

• Leverage AWS services (Lambda, S3, EC2, CloudWatch, SQS, SNS, etc.) for test environment setup and execution.
• Validate cloud-based deployments, microservices, and serverless functions on AWS infrastructure.
• Monitor application behavior, performance, and reliability using AWS CloudWatch and related tools.

QA Strategy & Leadership

• Define and implement end-to-end QA strategy, test plans, and quality metrics for projects.
• Lead and mentor junior and mid-level QA engineers; conduct code reviews for test scripts.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and DevOps teams to embed quality throughout the SDLC.
• Drive shift-left testing practices to identify defects early in the development lifecycle.

Test Management & Reporting

• Manage test cycles, defect lifecycle, and reporting using tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr.
• Prepare and present QA dashboards, metrics, and status reports to stakeholders.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on critical defects and drive resolution.

Database & SQL Testing

• Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate data integrity, ETL processes, and backend business logic.
• Perform database testing on relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MS SQL Server.
• Collaborate with data engineers to validate data pipelines, transformations, and reporting accuracy.
• Automate database validation checks as part of the regression and integration test suites.

Performance & Security Testing

• Conduct or coordinate performance, load, and stress testing using tools like JMeter or k6.
• Participate in security testing, vulnerability assessment, and compliance validation activities.
