Job Description

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end performance testing activities including planning, scripting, execution, and analysis.
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, and business stakeholders to understand performance requirements and system behavior.
  • Design performance test strategies, test plans, and workload models aligned with business scenarios.
  • Develop performance test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
  • Conduct load, stress, endurance, scalability, and spike testing based on project needs.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks, analyze root causes, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to fine-tune application performance and optimize system configurations.
  • Prepare and present detailed performance test reports to project stakeholders.
  • Ensure best practices, standards, and guidelines are followed across performance engineering activities.
  • Mentor junior testers and guide the team in resolving technical challenges.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of performance testing methodologies and automation.

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Strong hands-on experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or similar.
  • Deep understanding of web technologies, APIs, databases, and application architectures.
  • Working knowledge of APM tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic, or Grafana.
  • Experience with cloud-based performance testing and monitoring (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Proficiency in analyzing server logs, thread dumps, GC logs, and system metrics to identify bottlenecks.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to present findings effectively.
  • Experience leading performance test teams and coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders.
