TEST LEAD - Automation testing

About the Role 

• We are looking for a highly skilled TEST LEAD with strong expertise in automation testing for web and API applications and Watermelon . The ideal candidate should have solid experience in Java, Selenium, and BDD frameworks, along with hands-on experience using Watermelon testing tool for Automation.

  This role also requires team leadership capabilities, analytical thinking, and a passion for delivering high-quality software through robust automation practices.

  Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for web and API testing.
• Build and execute automated test scripts using Java, Selenium, and BDD frameworks (Cucumber/TestNG).
• Perform API automation using AI Watermelon - Low-code/no-code (LCNC).
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure high-quality product delivery.
• Lead and mentor a team of approximately 5 QA engineers.
• Participate in test strategy planning, automation architecture, and code reviews.
• Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI-driven testing approaches to improve test efficiency.

• Perform functional, regression, and integration testing.

  Required Skills

• 812 years of experience in Automation Testing (Web & API).
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Java
  • Selenium WebDriver
  • BDD frameworks (Cucumber/TestNG)
• Experience designing and maintaining test automation frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Watermelon LCNC tool (Mandatory).
• Experience performing API automation using Watermelon.
• Strong coding, debugging, and analytical skills.

• Experience leading or mentoring a QA team (around 5 members).

  Good to Have

• Exposure to AI in Functional Testing / AI-driven testing tools.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, etc.).
