Test Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Hybrid Tester with a strong background in both manual and automation testing, particularly API testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our applications by designing, implementing, and executing test plans and scripts. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Manual Testing:

• Perform functional, integration, regression, and system testing.

• Prepare detailed and comprehensive test cases and test plans based on requirements.

• Identify, document, and track bugs using defect management tools.

Automation Testing:

• Develop, execute, and maintain automation scripts for API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or equivalent.

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

• Analyze and optimize automated test cases to improve efficiency and coverage.

API Testing:

• Test RESTful APIs, ensuring proper data flow and response validation.

• Validate API performance, security, and reliability under different scenarios.

• Use tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar for API validation.

Collaboration & Reporting:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliverables.

• Communicate testing progress, defects, and risks to stakeholders.

• Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.

Quality Assurance:

• Ensure adherence to QA standards and best practices.

• Continuously identify and implement process improvements.

Required Skills:

• Strong expertise in manual testing and test case creation.

• Hands-on experience with API testing (Postman, SoapUI, RestAssured, etc.).

• Proficiency in automation testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.).

• Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

• Knowledge of version control tools like Git.

• Solid understanding of software development methodologies, especially Agile.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interact effectively with teams and stakeholders.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with additional automation tools (e.g., Cypress, Katalon Studio, etc.).

• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).

• Understanding of security testing practices for APIs.

• ISTQB certification or equivalent QA certification.
