Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Tester with a strong background in automation, performance, and security testing. The ideal candidate will have a passion for ensuring software quality and reliability, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. This role involves designing and executing automated and performance tests, as well as collaborating with development teams to deliver high-quality software.
Key Responsibilities:
Automation Testing:
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard tools such as Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.
- Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure continuous quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Identify and implement opportunities to increase the automation coverage and streamline the testing process, improving efficiency and effectiveness.
Performance Testing:
- Design and execute performance test plans and scenarios using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, etc., to assess application behavior under different load conditions.
- Analyze performance test results to identify bottlenecks, performance degradation, and potential optimizations.
- Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and optimize application performance, ensuring scalability and responsiveness.
General Testing:
- Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for functional, regression, and integration testing.
- Report, track, and verify defects to ensure they are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and operations, to ensure that high-quality software is delivered on time.
Security Testing (if applicable):
- Ensure that software applications are free of vulnerabilities and perform security testing on critical areas of the application.
- Work closely with security teams to conduct penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and risk analysis.
Qualifications:
- Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (12 + 4) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience & Skills:
- Proven experience in software testing, with a focus on automation, performance, and ideally security testing.
- Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG).
- Strong experience in performance testing using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into these workflows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues quickly and collaborate effectively to resolve them.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate test results, track progress, and work with cross-functional teams.
Additional Skills (Nice to Have):
- Security Testing experience such as penetration testing or vulnerability assessment is a plus.
- Experience with mobile testing (e.g., Appium, mobile performance testing).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and cloud testing tools.
