Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Test Engineer L3 to ensure the quality of our products, platforms, and solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and executing test cases, identifying defects, and ensuring adherence to quality assurance parameters. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of testing methodologies, automation tools, and the software development lifecycle.
Key Deliverables
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements and specifications.
- Identify, document, and track defects using a bug tracking system, ensuring clear and concise replication steps.
- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve identified issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Automate test cases using appropriate tools and frameworks to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- Provide timely and accurate test status reports to stakeholders, including progress, risks, and issues.
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the product meets end-user requirements.
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with bug tracking systems such as Jira or Bugzilla.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent.

Must-Have Skills
- Technical: Strong proficiency in test case design, test execution, and defect reporting; experience with test management tools and automation frameworks.
- Domain Knowledge: Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing principles, including Agile methodologies.
- Behavioral & Interpersonal: Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills to effectively interact with development teams and project managers.
- Process & SOP: Experience with creating and maintaining test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root causes of defects and provide effective solutions.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Advanced Technical: Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) and security testing methodologies.
- Additional Certifications: Relevant certifications such as ISTQB Advanced Level Test Analyst or Test Manager.
- Cross-Functional Exposure: Experience working with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and DevOps engineers.
- Leadership Traits: Ability to mentor junior testers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
- Continuous Improvement: Familiarity with Lean/Kaizen principles and a commitment to continuous improvement of testing processes.
Additional Information
- The initial probation period is 6 months, during which performance will be closely monitored.
- Standard working hours apply, but flexibility may be required to align with project needs and deadlines.
- You will report to the Test Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- All work must adhere to Wipro's compliance standards and relevant Indian labor laws.
- Must be willing to work from the Pune office location.
