Job Description

Job Title: Testing Engineer

Department: Testing

Location: Sanand (Gujarat)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Role Objective:

We are seeking a Testing Engineer with 25 years of hands-on experience in testing and validating UPS, inverters, electrical panels, and switchgear. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing all types of routine, functional, electrical, and performance tests to ensure product quality and reliability before dispatch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine testing, functional testing, and electrical testing of UPS systems, inverters, and electrical panels.
  • Conduct load testing, insulation testing, high-voltage (Hi-Pot) testing, and performance validation of products.
  • Test and verify control circuits, protection circuits, alarms, and interlocks.
  • Ensure all testing is done as per standard operating procedures (SOPs) and customer specifications.
  • Record test results, maintain proper test reports, checklists, and documentation.
  • Troubleshoot and identify defects during testing and coordinate with the R&D and Production teams for rectification.
  • Ensure that products meet quality, safety, and performance standards before approval.
  • Handle testing instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power analyzers, clamp meters, etc.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized testing area.
  • Support continuous improvement in testing procedures and quality processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
  • 25 years experience in testing UPS, inverter, electrical panels, and switchgear products.
  • Good understanding of electrical circuits, power electronics fundamentals, and SLDs.
  • Ability to perform all types of routine and functional electrical tests.
  • Strong troubleshooting ability and analytical thinking.
  • Familiarity with standard testing tools and equipment.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures related to electrical testing.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience with battery testing, charger testing, and load bank operations.
  • Exposure to ISO documentation and quality systems.
  • Understanding of product validation and FAT (Factory Acceptance Test).
