At of Flexera, Spot optimizes cloud infrastructure to always be highly available and for the lowest possible cost-we revolutionize the way businesses manage their cloud.We are looking for a passionate and hands-onStaff Software Engineer - Automationto join our growing engineering team and drive quality through intelligent automation. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and evolution of our automation frameworks and methodologies. You will lead key initiatives that enhance our testing infrastructure and ensure the robustness of our products and components. Our Java-based Selenium framework covers various aspects of the product, including complex interfaces, data integrity, and advanced business logic.

Responsibilities

Define and implement scalable test automation strategies for complex cloud-native services

Develop and maintain reusable automation infrastructure modules and frameworks

Collaborate with software engineers and QA to identify high-impact test areas and embed quality into the development lifecycle

Drive cross-functional quality improvements and advocate for automation best practices

Own and analyze automation results, identify system-level issues, and work closely with engineering teams to resolve defects

Enhance CI/CD pipelines with automation integration and cloud-based execution environments

Stay up-to-date with trends and advancements in test automation and assess their relevance to Spot's tech stack

Mandatory

Experience of 5+ yrs with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or other test automation frameworks.

Experience in building Automation frameworks

Experience in testing SaaS solutions.

Strong experience with at least one of the three major hyper-scalers (AWS, Azure or GCP).

Working knowledge of Kubernetes.

Experience with Backend and API automation with Python or equivalent.

Experience with CI/CD processes and tools.

Nice to Have

Development experience in Go.

Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible

Awareness of observability and performance testing tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, JMeter)
