Test Automation Engineer

The Role 

CCL's Global Technology Team is seeking a Test Automation Engineer with extensive experience in advanced automation practices and a strong understanding of CI/CD pipeline development. The ideal candidate will lead the enhancement of our existing automation frameworks, mentor team members, and drive the quality assurance process to ensure the delivery of top-tier software solutions. Experience building and maintaining automated test pipelines in GitHub Actions is strongly preferred. 

Key Responsibilities 

Automated Testing 

•  Develop and Execute Automated Tests: Design, write, and execute comprehensive automated testing to ensure software quality and reliability. 
• Analyze Test Results: Identify, document, and track software defects, and work with the development team to resolve them promptly.  

Testing Framework and Process Integration 

• Integrate Testing in CI/CD Pipelines: Establish and manage automated testing processes within Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions. 

• Design and Implement Automation Frameworks: Architect and set up automated testing frameworks from the ground up, establishing standards, patterns, and best practices for the team to build upon. 

• Enhance and Maintain Automation Frameworks: Continuously improve and optimize existing automation frameworks to increase efficiency and coverage. 

Collaborate and Mentor

• Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and integrate automated testing into the development process. 

• Provide guidance and mentorship to the team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. 

Candidate Profile & Qualifications 

We are looking for a highly organized professional who excels in fast-paced, global environments. The ideal candidate will possess the following: 

• ​​Experience with a range of test automation tools and frameworks, with a preference for candidates familiar with Playwright for browser automation and xUnit or similar unit testing frameworks 

• ​SQL Proficiency - create and execute queries,  

• ​Proficiency using Postman or similar API Testing tools.  

• ​Exposure to programming languages such as C#, JavaScript, or Python 

• ​Demonstrated experience in integrating automated tests within GitHub Actions pipelines. 

• ​Experience designing comprehensive test scenarios, including identifying test cases, edge cases, and coverage strategies across functional and non-functional requirements. 

• ​Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail. 

• ​Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Education & Experience 

• ​​Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. 

• ​A minimum of 3 years in test automation, with a proven track record of leading automation projects and improving testing frameworks.​
