Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Software Quality Automation Engineer II to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software products through comprehensive testing strategies, focusing on both UI and API layers. This role requires a strong background in automation testing and a passion for delivering high-quality software.
Required Qualification:B.E., BCA, B.Com., B. Sc. in relevant fields such as Computer Science and Information Security, Mechanical, Commerce, or Applied Electronics.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform functional testing across both UI and API layers, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
- Execute root cause analysis of defects, identifying underlying issues and recommending preventive solutions.
- Participate in sprint planning and testing activities, owning quality within sprint cycles.
- Conduct in-sprint testing to ensure features meet acceptance criteria before release.
- Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive automation test suites using Cypress as the primary framework for UI testing.
- Implement API testing and automation strategies using JavaScript-based frameworks (Cypress, Playwright, SuperTest, Axios, or similar).
- Develop and enhance test frameworks with a focus on scalability, maintainability, and reusability.
- Write clean, well-documented code following best practices and industry standards. Integrate and optimize automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.
- Configure and manage test execution using ArgoCD and other deployment tools. Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure efficient test automation in production-like environments.
- Guide and mentor junior QA engineers, fostering a culture of quality and learning.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and stakeholders. Share knowledge through documentation, code reviews, and technical discussions.
- Work independently as an individual contributor while supporting team goals.
