Role Summary
The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for independently managing and expanding the business across the assigned tri-city region (Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula). This role demands a highly driven sales professional who will lead market expansion, grow the dealer and distributor network, achieve aggressive sales targets, and strengthen brand presence in the territory. The position directly reports to the COO and plays a critical role in driving regional revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned territory.
- Identify, appoint, and develop new dealers, distributors, and channel partners across the tri-city market.
- Maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers, dealers, retailers, architects, builders, and project partners.
- Drive business growth through regular market visits, customer meetings, product demonstrations, and promotional activities.
- Track competitor activities, pricing trends, new product launches, and market dynamics; provide actionable insights to management.
- Ensure proper product placement, visibility, branding, and display standards at dealer and retail outlets.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams including marketing, operations, logistics, and accounts for smooth order execution, dispatch, and collections.
- Monitor stock levels at dealer locations and ensure optimal inventory planning to avoid stock-outs or excess inventory.
- Prepare and submit accurate sales forecasts, performance reports, market analysis, and MIS to the COO on a regular basis.
- Lead territory-level promotional campaigns, product launches, exhibitions, and dealer meets.
- Ensure timely collection of outstanding payments and minimize credit risks.
- Represent the company professionally in the market and maintain high standards of brand conduct and ethics.
- Mentor and guide junior sales staff or field executives (if applicable) to improve team performance and productivity.
Experience Required
- 810 years of proven experience in territory sales, regional sales, or business development
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or related field
- MBA in Sales & Marketing is an added advantage
- Mandatory prior experience in Tri-Cities market management
- Strong background in sanitaryware, bath fittings, kitchen products, home solutions, building materials, or related industries preferred
- Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
