THE ROLE

This position will initially operate on a rotational schedule, with the long-term intention of transitioning into a standard Monday Friday working pattern. The ideal candidate will therefore be based in the Shetland Islands, or willing to relocate.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Create a structure and working environment that empowers and motivates employees to excel in their performance and be aligned with the asset performance and objectives.
  • Leadership accountability for ensuring that the EnQuest HSE&A policy is delivered at SVT. Provide visible leadership onsite through worksite engagement and participation in the local Auditing processes at SVT in support of the HSSE improvement plans.
  • Deliver the Asset Plan and Budget as agreed with SVT Owners. Monitor and report progress on a quarterly basis within EnQuest and ensure the Asset Performance contract and associated KPI's are on target and tracking to schedule.
  • Responsible for delivery of the 6-week asset plan act as gate keeper and drive compliance, execution readiness and 6-week waiver approvals.
  • Lead the on-site integrated asset team on a daily basis (Operations, Maintenance, HSSE, Engineering, Projects and Contractors), ensuring safe and efficient delivery of the daily priorities and asset plan whilst maintaining plant availability.
  • Responsible for managing Operational Risk by ensuring that decisions are made in accordance with the EnQuest Risk Based decision making framework and are documented through Operational Risk Assessment.
  • Collaborate closely with the SVT Asset Engineering Manager to ensure Operational Risks have appropriate closure plans and allocated budget.
  • Manage and eliminate production risks whilst developing opportunities to maximise uptime and availability as per the operational KPI's provide a Daily Report to the wider organisation covering the key operational and production metrics.
  • Provide operations input to the Terminal Technical Committee (TTC) in support of the Operations Manager.
  • Lead on-site delivery of the site footprint changes to enable the associated operating cost reductions whilst ensuring that the SVT organisational structure is appropriate for the operation.
  • Responsible for ensuring all operations and maintenance staff members have annual appraisal goals set in line with the overall EnQuest and terminal strategy. The TM is responsible for ensuring that succession planning is in place for critical roles in the site organisation.
  • Deliver continuous improvement programmes for enhancing terminal performance and reputation in the areas of HSE, Production, Reliability, Cost Effectiveness and Decommissioning.
  • Ensure compliance with EnQuest procedures and processes at SVT and maintain a state of preparedness to support the relevant UK regulatory inspections.
  • Support the Operations Manager in the development of the asset strategy, 20Q and 6Q Plans and the wider Life of Field model.
  • Supports the asset in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements such as COMAH, PSSR, PPC and EU ETS, through routine operator checks, safety critical maintenance and inspections that maintain the process safety barriers.
  • Accountable for Control of Work and holds overall Site Controller authority.
  • Responsible for all site temporary and permanent operating procedures, and provides framework to support delivery of maintenance and integrity policies and procedures that maintain the sites license to operate, ensuring reliable plant operations,
  • Supports project delivery in the areas of opportunity/risk identification, scope development, operational interfaces and approvals, commissioning support and start-up.
  • Cost management of agreed operations and maintenance budgets.
  • Overall accountability for safe production, site availability and maintenance & inspection compliance targets.
  • Manage the IR interface with the unionised technician population with regular engagement with the site Convenor and Regional Officials through regular CIG Level 2 meetings.

Experience


  • Track record in management in a UK based onshore terminal.
  • Experiencing in managing a Tier 1 COMAH site and managing the control of Major Accident Hazards.
  • Experience interfacing with a unionised workforce
  • Experienced in leading Incident Management and Emergency Response

Qualifications


Essential

  • Degree Level qualifications in Engineering or related discipline or relevant experience.
  • Trained in Pollution Response Level 3 Onshore Emergency or equivalent.
  • IMT Duty Incident Manager (preferable)
  • MCA level 5 (preferable)
