About The Opportunity

Operating in the Manufacturing Consumer Goods (Fragrance & Specialty Chemicals) sector, this employer is investing in onsite renewable energy to decarbonize manufacturing operations and reduce energy costs. The role sits within an integrated Solar EPC program delivering rooftop, C&I and ground-mounted projects across India.

Role Summary

We are hiring a Tender Executive (Solar EPC) to own end-to-end bid management for solar projects: convert RFQs/RFPs into competitive, compliant technical and commercial proposals, coordinate cross-functional inputs, and drive successful handover to execution teams.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end tender process for solar EPC projectsreview RFQ/RFP, define scope, and compile complete techno-commercial proposals for submission.
  • Prepare BOQs, detailed cost estimates and pricing models; align commercial assumptions with engineering, procurement and finance teams.
  • Develop and validate technical inputs including single-line diagrams, module/layout drawings and system performance estimates; coordinate PVsyst or equivalent simulations.
  • Manage vendor and subcontractor quotations, evaluate technical compliance and commercial competitiveness, and negotiate commercial terms when required.
  • Drive pre-bid meetings and client clarifications; maintain bid trackers, document control and ensure timely, compliant submissions.
  • Support contract negotiations and ensure a clean handover of bid deliverables to project execution; capture lessons learned and maintain proposal templates and checklists.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in Solar EPC tendering, proposal preparation and BOQ estimation.
  • Strong MS Excel skills including pricing models and cost build-ups.
  • Hands-on experience with AutoCAD and PVsyst (or equivalent PV simulation tools).
  • Practical knowledge of Indian solar standards and regulations (MNRE/CEA/IEC) and common EPC contract clauses.
  • Experience managing vendor quotations, commercial evaluation and bid submission workflows.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with ERP/CRM systems (SAP, Tally, Salesforce or similar).
  • Experience with financial modelling for project bids.
  • Prior exposure to rooftop C&I, captive power, or utility-scale solar projects.
