Overview
Infonetica is a UK-based software company providing specialist research management solutions to universities, research hospitals, and public research organisations worldwide. As we continue to expand our global tender capability, we are building a dedicated tender team in India and are seeking a Tender Writer to support the preparation of high-quality tender and RFP submissions.
This role is suited to someone with early experience in tender or bid writing who is keen to develop their skills further within a structured, supportive team. You will work closely with the Lead Tender Manager and collaborate with colleagues across Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Finance to deliver clear, compliant, and compelling responses.
The Role
The Tender Writer will support the end-to-end tender process by drafting, reviewing, and coordinating sections of tender submissions. You will be responsible for producing well-written responses to assigned questions, ensuring compliance with tender requirements, and contributing to the continuous improvement of tender content and processes.
While the Lead Tender Manager will retain overall responsibility for tender strategy and submission, you will be expected to manage your own sections independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and edit tender and RFP responses in line with client requirements and internal standards
- Review tender documentation to understand scope, evaluation criteria, and compliance requirements
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to gather technical, commercial, and operational information
- Adapt existing content and templates to suit specific tender requirements
- Ensure all assigned responses are clear, accurate, and aligned with Infonetica's value proposition
- Assist with document formatting, version control, and final submission preparation
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of a reusable content library and templates
- Use AI and internal tools to support research, drafting, and content optimisation
- Proofread content to ensure consistency, clarity, and quality
The Work
Tenders are primarily issued by universities, research institutions, healthcare organisations, and public sector bodies. Submissions typically include narrative responses, compliance statements, and supporting information related to implementation, support, security, and service delivery.
You will gain deeper exposure to enterprise-level procurement processes and develop an understanding of how organisations evaluate technology suppliers.
What you should be good at
- Clear, structured, and professional written English
- Interpreting tender questions and responding accurately and persuasively
- Managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Working methodically with large documents and detailed requirements
- Collaborating effectively with colleagues across teams and time zones
- Applying feedback to improve content quality and consistency
- Using Microsoft Word and document formatting tools confidently
- Willingness to use AI tools to improve efficiency and quality
Desirable Experience & Skills
- Candidates should demonstrate exceptional writing and editing skills, typically gained through a writing-intensive Bachelor's degree (e.g., English, History, or a related field)
- Tender or bid writing experience is advantageous
- Curiosity, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are essential
- Experience in software, technology, or professional services environments is preferred
