About The Opportunity
Operating in the renewable energy sector, this role sits squarely within the solar EPC and utility-scale solar project delivery space. The position focuses on end-to-end tendering and bid management for solar rooftop and ground-mounted PV projects across India.
Primary title: Solar Tender Executive (EPC/Tendering)
Role & Responsibilities
- Own full tender lifecycle for solar EPC bids: review RFP/RFQ, prepare bid strategy, assemble commercial and technical submissions, and submit compliant proposals.
- Prepare and validate BOQs, cost estimates, and pricing models to produce competitive and margin-accretive bids.
- Coordinate cross-functional inputs (engineering, procurement, finance, legal) to collate technical annexures, commercial terms, and commercial clarifications.
- Drive pre-bid activities: vendor qualification, vendor queries, site visits, and pre-bid client interactions to clarify scope and constraints.
- Analyze bid risks and contractual terms; propose mitigation strategies and draft key contract clauses for awarding stage.
- Maintain bid trackers, learnings repository, and post-bid win/loss analysis to improve future tender outcomes.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Proven experience in solar EPC tendering and bid execution.
- Strong BOQ preparation and cost estimation skills for PV systems.
- Proficiency in RFP/RFQ analysis and commercial bid evaluation.
- Contract negotiation and commercial terms drafting experience.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel for pricing models and bid schedules.
- Excellent coordination skills with engineering, procurement and finance teams; readiness for on-site interactions.
Preferred
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or PV design tools (e.g., PVSyst).
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems for procurement and costing.
- Prior exposure to large-scale utility or C&I solar projects and EPC contract structures (EPC/Turnkey).
