Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in the London Area, United Kingdom, for a Telecommunications Software Engineer.

The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable telecom software solutions using modern cloud communication technologies. You will work with **Twilio services, RESTful APIs, and webhooks to build real-time voice and messaging systems.

The Telecommunications Software Engineer will:

  • Develop and integrate telecom APIs (voice, SMS, SIP, VoIP)
  • Implement webhook-based event handling for real-time communication flows
  • Build and optimize call routing, IVR systems, and automation workflows
  • Ensure system scalability, reliability, and security in cloud environments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance communication solutions
  • Stay up to date with emerging telecom and CPaaS technologies
Qualifications
  • Strong proficiency in Software Development and Software Engineering principles
  • Experience with telecommunications APIs (e.g., Twilio, VoIP, SIP)
  • Solid understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, and real-time event-driven systems
  • Knowledge of telecommunications protocols and cloud communication platforms (CPaaS)
  • Familiarity with IVR systems, call routing, and voice infrastructure
  • Understanding of wireless technologies and communication systems
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar) is an advantage
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field
