We are seeking an experienced Technology Lead to serve as the Technology Package Owner for all electrolyzer-related systems within Hygenco's green hydrogen and green ammonia projects. The role spans technology evaluation, advanced performance analytics, field performance monitoring, correlation development, internal R&D, and cross-functional technical leadership. The Technology Lead will be responsible for driving Hygenco's long-term electrolyzer technology strategy and ensuring that our deployed systems deliver world-class performance, reliability, and efficiency.
This position is central to Hygenco's technology organization, as it directly influences vendor selection, project execution, innovation programs, operational enhancements, and intellectual property creation. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in electrochemical engineering, electrolyzer stack and system design, degradation and performance modelling, and hydrogen technologies.
Required Qualification:
1. 10–18 years relevant experience or 6–8 years postPhD with strong research/IP
2. Deep understanding of electrochemical concepts, with applied knowledge.
3. Engineering level understanding of Electrolyzer systems, hydraulics, CFD basics, heat/mass balance, material science, safety.
4. Data & Modeling skills preferred. MATLAB/Python/Aspen; digital twins; degradation models.
5. Proven IP generation, strong technical writing
6. Analytical, communication, cross-functional leadership
Educational Qualification
1. PhD preferred in Electrochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Science, or a closely related field.
2. Master's degree (M.Tech/M.Sc/MS) in Chemical Engineering, Electrochemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related disciplines with exceptional electrolyzer or electrochemical systems experience.
3. Bachelor's degree (B.Tech/B.E./B.Sc) in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Materials, Energy, or equivalent) or Life Sciences/Physical Sciences (Chemistry, Physics, Applied Sciences, etc.) with strong demonstrated experience in hydrogen technologies, electrolysis systems, electrochemistry, or related R&D/industrial roles.
