Technology Director[Observability & Foundational Automation Head]

 Job Description

In this role, you will:

Strategize & deliver on the vision and OKRs for the Enterprise Observability & Foundational Automation team specifically focused on Metrics & A.I Ops, Logging, Tracing, Visualization, Digital User Experience, Infrastructure as Code & Workload scheduling automation. Hands on Experience on these platforms and leading teams engineering these platforms is a requirement

Lead team of Software Engineers & Product Owners to develop & integrate enterprise logging, metrics, tracing, A.I Ops for business-critical systems as well as dashboards (visibility) partnering with multiple lines of business

Leadership in reimagining customer experiences through automation and self-service utilizing conversational AI & service orchestration for the Lines of Business

Work with infrastructure, product, and support teams to define tools and strategy to ensure full observability, alerting,proactive monitoring & automation for enterprise systems and applications.

Focus on delivering commitments aligned to enterprise strategic priorities

Build support for strategies with business and technology leaders

Guide development of actionable roadmaps and plans

Identify opportunities and strategies for continuous improvement of software engineering practices

Provide oversight to software craftsmanship, security, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions developed by the teams or third party providers

Identify financial management and strategic resourcing

Set risk management guidelines and partner with stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives

Develop strategies for hiring engineering talent

Lead implementation of projects and encourage engineering innovation

Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers

Lead team to achieve objectives

Interface with external agencies, regulatory bodies or industry forums

Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Technology Strategic Leadership

Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy

Required Qualifications:

Overall 20+ years of Technology Strategic Leadership experience, or equivalent out of which 8-10 years of experience in Observability, Monitoring & Automation is expected

Hands on Software Engineering Manager with development skills & experience working on the Observability platforms

Deep Industry exposure with patents, white papers in Software Engineering & Observability, Automation
