Technologist/Assembly Operator- GPP

As a Technologist/ Assembley Operator - GPP you will report to Manufacturing Manager - GPP

Role Purpose

  • The Assembly Operator is responsible for assembly/testing of machines on the production line in compliance with quality standards, safety norms, and takt time requirements. The role demands precision, agility, and adherence to continuous improvement practices.
  • Key Responsibilities

    • Operate as per defined takt/cycle time, following all safety and quality norms outlined in work instructions.
    • Apply the Right First Time approach to ensure maximum quality and productivity.
    • Promptly raise Andon alerts with complete details in case of issues such as material shortages, quality concerns, or maintenance requirements.
    • Actively contributes to Continuous Improvement initiatives through Kaizen and process optimization.
    • Complete all required documentation and records (e.g., shop orders, checklists) in physical form or MES/Interact, as applicable.
    • Report on safety concerns via TIA system (directly or through line support).
    • Maintain workplace discipline and adhere to organizational standards.
    • Demonstrate flexibility and agility in adapting to changing production needs.
    • Strive to achieve maximum production efficiency within minimum time while ensuring safe work practices.
    • Participate in Kaizen activities, propose automation ideas, and support sustainable improvements.
To succeed, you will need

Education Requirements

  • Diploma in Engineering from a government-recognized technical board.

Knowledge Requirements

  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
  • Able to read and understand engineering drawings/ P & ID
  • In-depth knowledge of assembly and/or testing processes of CNG compressor
  • Familiarity with Andon systems and basic computer operations.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve performance or functional issues.

Experience Requirements

  • 2 to 5 years of hands-on assembly experience in a production environment.
  • Experience in CNG/Air compressor assembly/testing will be an added advantage.
