Digantara is seeking a skilled
Technician - Optics Assembly who will be responsible for assembling, integrating, testing, and troubleshooting electro-optics systems and validation of optical components & lens assemblies to ensure proper performance and reliability for spacecraft applications. The role requires strong hands-on skills, good attention to detail, and the ability to work in cleanroom and laboratory environments while supporting both prototype development and production activities.

Ideal Candidate
Someone with hands-on expertise in assembly, testing and troubleshooting electro-optical systems for satellite/defence applications.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and integrate optical components (lenses, mirrors, filters) as per drawings and approved procedures.
- Handle and mount delicate optical and mechanical components following strict cleanroom standards and ESD safety procedures.
- Apply adhesives, spacers, and shims as per defined assembly processes.
- Perform precision optical alignment, testing using collimators, optical benches, and alignment tools.
- Perform testing and calibration of electro-optical payloads.
- Work closely with optics and mechanical design teams to improve assembly processes.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma /ITI in Mechanical, Electronics, or any relevant field.
- 1 to 10 years of industry experience in optical components testing and assembly of lens/mirror based Electro-Optical systems in Cleanroom (ISO Class 5/7).
- Understanding of alignment techniques, adhesive curing, and precision assembly.
- Hand-on experience with torque-controlled tools to prevent stress on precision components.
- Ability to comprehend the engineering drawings with attention to detail.
- Experience in troubleshooting the faults in optics assemblies.
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience with soldering, electronic component assembly.
- Familiarity with lab equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes etc.
- Knowledge of Thermovacuum and vibration tests for satellite electro-optical payloads.
