Job Description

The Technical Documentation team at HyperVerge is looking for a tech-savvy and detail-oriented Technical Writer Intern to join our growing team. If you have a passion for simplifying complex technical concepts and a flair for clear, engaging writing, this role is for you.

This position is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in web technologies, a curiosity to explore how things work, and an interest in product documentation within a fast-paced SaaS environment.

What You'll Do

You'll be joining the team that owns all things product documentation, API references, and developer experience. This is a hands-on, high-impact internship not just proofreading docs. You'll contribute directly to the experience of thousands of end-users and developers interacting with our product.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write & Maintain Product Docs: Create, update, and improve technical and user documentation that makes complex concepts simple
  • Work Closely with Engineers: Partner with developers and product managers to extract accurate technical content
  • Follow Docs-as-Code Best Practices: Work within a documentation codebase using Git, Markdown, and Docusaurus
  • Test What You Document: Use tools like Postman to explore APIs and ensure what's written matches the product experience
  • Contribute to Dev Experience: Suggest UX/content improvements across our API and onboarding experience.

Who Are We Looking For

  • Final-year students or recent grads with a blend of tech skills and strong written communication.
  • Familiar with HTML, CSS, Markdown and have some experience with javascript or NodeJS (even at a basic level).
  • Comfortable using VS Code, Git, and other tools in a developer's workflow.
  • Have a basic understanding of REST APIs you know how to test one using Postman.
  • Strong command over English can explain clearly, edit crisply, and write error-free content.
  • Enjoy simplifying technical jargon and helping others learn through documentation.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and excited to learn the craft of technical writing in a SaaS environment.

Good to Have

  • Built or contributed to a personal web project or open-source repo.
  • Exposure to docs-as-code tools like Docusaurus.
  • Interest in developer education, onboarding flows, or devrel/content.
  • Prior internship or coursework in technical writing or product documentation.

Where This Can Lead

Based on your performance, this internship could convert into a full-time role as a Junior Technical Writer or Product Documentation Associate, with pathways into Product, or UX Writing roles over time.
