Technical Writer

We are seeking a Technical Writer who can independently develop and manage mid-complexity documentation with minimal supervision for telecom solutions. You will be responsible for transforming moderately complex and often poorly structured technical information into clear, accurate, and usable documentation.

The role requires strong English proficiency and proven ability collaborating with distributed teams and different stakeholders.

Location: Bengaluru

Work Mode: Hybrid (2 days in office, 3 days WFH)

Work Location in Bengaluru: Mahadevapura, Outer Ring Road

Job Description

As a Technical Writer, your responsibilities will include:

• Analysing source material that may be incomplete, inconsistently structured, or require clarifications
• Interacting with developers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather missing information
• Developing mid-complexity documentation units involving multiple sections, workflows, or dependencies
• Participating in content analysis and documentation planning activities
• Supporting illustrations and visuals by providing clear input or collaborating with illustrators
• Working effectively within virtual and cross-functional teams
• Following defined documentation processes, tools, and style guidelines
• Proactively identifying documentation gaps and proposing improvement ideas
• Managing assigned tasks with limited supervision while meeting quality and timeline expectations

Experience

• 2-3 years of experience in technical documentation or related content development roles
• Prior exposure to telecom environments preferred
• Proficiency in structured authoring; especially DITA
• Experience in working with CMS and JIRA.
• Experience working with mid-complexity documentation projects involving multiple stakeholders
• Strong ability to interpret, restructure, and simplify technical information
• Proven ability to work with imperfect inputs and drive clarification discussions

• Mostly self-driven; requires minimal micromanagement
• Strong collaboration skills with developers and technical teams
• Confident in steering discussions and asking the right questions
• Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
